My Valentines Challenge...

I love a good challenge... So a few days ago I decided I wanted to make this Valentines Day a memorable one.. In the 15 years Ted & I have been married I can honestly only remember a few items he has bought me for Valentines... Like 5 years ago he bought me a ceiling fan for the house we were renting...While we were building our new house?? or the new vacuum, or the new furniture set we bought in the month of February, Or my favorite last year he decided that he was going to buy us a new bedroom set for Christmas... By the time the stupid furniture store finally delivered it, it became my Valentines Day Gift. Now I'm not sayin I am ungrateful. I adore my Husband but lets face it, Men think differently than women... So back to the Challenge. I love handmade gifts, I would much rather receive something from someones heart than something from Walmart... So I told Ted this year I was challenging him to make me something homemade for Valentines Day & he only had $10 bucks to do it. I also would do the same. You should have seen the look on his face it was PRICELESS!! Stay tuned..

Shake Your Tail Feathers....

As tomorrow you may not have any..... Meet Mr. Socks (Above) He is an outside cat that THINKS he is an inside cat. Everytime one of the outside doors opens he runs in as fast as he can. It's like he's stalking us.. He is always waiting by one of the doors. Like he owns the place. Sometimes we allow him to stay inside so he can feel like he's the boss. So I'm not sayin this is all his fault BUT I am extremely impressed with the fact that Mr. Socks is so talented to open up the bird cage and select a Bird and fetch him up, ruff him up for awhile and remove all his tail feathers without making him part of his dinner. BOOTS!

These BOOTS are made for walkin... And that's just what Tia will Do... She's Gonna wear these BOOTS to the Homecoming Dance and there's nothin MoM can do.... Can you belive that?? We bought her the prettist shoes to wear with her homecoming dress.. And right before her friend (That's a boy) showed up she came down stairs holding her shoes. I told her you better hurry and get those shoes on before your friend (That's a boy) shows up... She said I aint wearin those shoes they'll hurt my feet and she pulled up her dress and there was the BOOTS!! I didn't have time to talk her into the shoes as the doorbell rang, Dad took a pic of tia and her friend (Never again allow a man to take a good pic..) and I had to pipe up and say Tia honey why don't you show your friend (That's a Boy) what you are wearing under your dress... She showed him the boots, he chuckled a minute and said "Well I Like Em." Even with the boots Tias looked so beautiful! We had her hair done up town and put in diamond-looking stones in her hair. We bought her a new necklace and earings that went really nice with her dress... And Tia and her friend (That's a Boy) looked so cute together.. He showed up wearing a shirt that matched her dress exactly! I'm not sure how that happend as he hadn't seen the dress.. He also brought her a crousage. I am hoping they can continue there frienship for a long time!

Flashback to the 90's!!!!

Junior Prom like 100 years ago.... Wow time has flown by. It seem like yesterday Ted & I went to the Salt Lake City Capital Ballroom for prom. It was 1991 not a care in the world.. Well except we just prayed the old camero wouldn't break down on us before we got there.. Those were the days.. no screaming kids, no Housework, no responsibilities.... I still wouldn't trade my life now for anything!

We found a Dress!! and Shoes!

After an agonizing week of Dress shopping Tia finally found a dress she likes!! Yea! We went to every shop from here to Ogden....Then I gave in and let Ted take her to the rudest little dress shop in Logan. (Bad experience last year... We special ordered a dress and went to pick it up and the OWNER started screaming at us saying we had never ordered anything and she threw her chips on her desk and said she didn't have time to look through orders she was too busy, She didn't even get lunch... Then called a week later that she found the order and the dress...Yea the day before we needed it.. I politley told her I'd never spend another dime in her shop again...Yes I hold grudges, so I agreed to let Ted take her. (What a good Dad)..They found a beautiful dress.. a few sizes to big.. (Thats where the alterations come in... ) That was $221.00 I really didn't want to support a business owner with no customer service or cooth... O.K. I'm over it...) It was painful...But I did learn one thing. I am really glad Tia is Modest cause they really sell some skanky prom dresses. I couldn't imagine letting her out of the house in 99% of the dresses we found in the juniors department.. Sad..Just Sad. We've already dropped her dress off at the alterations place.. Another $50-$60 bucks and that dress should be good to go... Ted and I have decided we better start saving for her Wedding...We figure we have about 15 years till then...

Tia's going to her school Homecoming Dance..

Well last week Tia decided she wanted to go to the Homecoming Dance at her school... She decided she wanted to ask a "Guy" friend that goes to another High School. Of course her Crafty Mom jumped into action. As everyone knows Tia is a Cowgirl and her "Guy" friend is a Cowboy so We had to think of a fitting way for her to ask him to go with her.... I know really the guys suppose to ask the girl right? Well welcome to 2008.. Times have changed!! So here it is, a John Deere Tractor with a Loader trailer filled with Cinnabuns... The tag reads "I'd like to Haul your Buns to the Homecoming Dance with me" Silly Huh? It was so dang cute.
