Valentines Quilt... Only a few days late ;)

Here is my most Favorite quilt so far... I actually had this done in plenty of time to get it up for Valentines Day but the quilter was quite backed up and it took her about a month to quilt it...Uggg So I hurried & binded it just in enough time to put it away for next year... Bummer!! My most favorite part of this quilt is my Hubby's & My initials carved on the tree ;)

Sweet little Gift

Patchwork Receiving Blanket
I decided since I had some leftover material from a rag quilt I made, I would whip up this lightweight receiving blanket. This took about 1 hr to complete.
Here are the supplies I used.
42 6x6 Squares
1 yard of coordinating baby flannel
Thread
I sewed 7 rows of 6 squares together, ironing seams open after each row. Then cut a piece of flannel to match. Sewed right sides together leaving an opening to turn. Turn inside out & iron. Sew a zigzag stitch all around the edge and your done!! Won't this make a sweet little gift???

4th of July Table Runner

My first Table Runner... Yes it is done in time for Summer! (Amazing I know) I cut my squares 5x5 and sewed them together. I lined it with warm & natural batting and put a Stars Fabric for the backing and stitched around each square for the quilting. I did a easy binding on the edges to complete it.

I have wanted to make one of these Rag Purses for a long time.. Although I pretty much knew how to make one I decided to buy a pattern off ebay just to make sure. So if your looking for a pattern you can get one on Ebay or Etsy under Rag Quilt Purses or Bags. The second Picture shows the inside where I made 6 pockets to hold all my stuff.
