Seeing Green...

Here are a few more Felt Crafts I made for St. Patricks Day. For the Clover Leaf I just used Cardboard for the back and glued on rosettes I made from felt. I made the Rosette balls the same way using a 2 1/2 in Styrofoam ball.

Lucky Blocks

Here's some Extra Large LUCKY blocks I made using wood & vinyl. I have looked everywhere to find some cute St Patrick's Day decorations but I must be the only one who wants to decorate for this holiday ;) I even looked at Dollar Tree & NADA! Oh well I guess I will get creative & make some ;)

St. Patrick's Day Popcorn

I found this recipe on www.tasteofhome.com
Ingredients:
4 quarts popped popcorn
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup light corn syrup
1 teaspoon white vinegar
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup butter
8 to 10 drops green food coloring
Directions: Place popcorn in a large roasting pan; keep warm in a 250° oven. Meanwhile, in a large heavy saucepan, combine the sugars, water, corn syrup, vinegar and salt. Cook and stir over medium heat until mixture comes to a boil. Cook, stirring occasionally, until a candy thermometer reads 250° (hard-ball stage). Remove from the heat; stir in butter until melted. Stir in food coloring. Drizzle over warm popcorn and toss to coat. Cool. Break into pieces. Store in an airtight container. Yield: 6 quarts.

My Leprechaun

While searching for some craft projects to make I found this blog www.makeandtake.blogspot.com But since I live to far away to go to the make and take and make my own I opted to have wendy make me one and I picked it up in Ogden at the Quilted Bear. I think he's so Cute and He's just the right size too.

St. Patrick's Day treat ideas:
• "At the end of the rainbow, you are my pot of gold!" (tied to anything with gold in it!)
• "If I had a Pot of Gold, I'd want to share it with you. I couldn't find one anywhere, so I hope that this will do!" (tied to a Twix, Rolo, Caramello, or gold chocolate coins)
• "A Friend is like a 4 leaf clover, hard to find and lucky to have!"
• "Tis better far at the rainbows end, to find not gold, but the heart of a friend!" (tie to package of rainbow skittles, gold coins, a "friend" token)
• Leprechaun Droppings - (a bag full of chocolate gold coins or green Appleheads)
• Shamrock Attack Kit: "You're lucky, lucky, I've been told - you've just been hit with shamrocks and gold!"
• Lucky Leprechaun Lunch: a green gable box with a tag on the outside that says "Lucky Leprechaun Lunch". Perfect for sending a green lunch with the husband or kids on St. Patrick's Day.
• "Lucky Me" tags: "Lucky Me..." and end with something different. "Lucky Me... to have such a great friend!" or "Lucky Me... to have such a great hubby!"
• Money Tree: "Happy St. Patricks Day to a Million Dollar Guy/Gal/Kid!" or "Who says Money doesn't grow on trees...Have a Happy St. Patrick's Day!"

St. Patrick's Day Pot of Gold Favors

You will Need:
Plastic Kettle
Shamrock Stickers or Foamies
Rat-tail Satin Cord
Metallic Gold Pony Beads
Green Pony Beads
Tackey Glue
Candy

Instructions:
Decorate the kettle with foamies. Cut a 12" piece of satin cord. Tie to the handle. String on pony beads. Tie a knot beneath the pony beads. Trim.
